Space, Pixel by Pixel
How do you explore a huge space image without downloading the whole file? I built AstroPixel to turn it into zoomable tiles, with annotations that keep discoveries connected to their place in the image.

about me!
I like taking complex ideas apart, learning how every piece works, and building them back into useful products. My favorite work combines a distinctive interface with the engineering needed to ship it.

real problems. things I built to solve them.

Read my case studyA new research topic can leave you with dozens of tabs and no clear starting point. I led Krypton to bring paper discovery, ranking, and abstract summaries into one place, helping readers choose what to investigate next.
Read my case studyHow do I show the interaction skills behind a résumé? I built a portfolio visitors can explore: a rotatable workstation, a 3D skills keyboard, and a dedicated mobile skills view, all connected to my work.
Read my case studyWhat happens after a model classifies a cell image? I led an academic prototype that connects the result to patient records, role-specific dashboards, and a downloadable report, exploring the software around the model.
Read my case studyA neural-network diagram is easier to discuss when you can see the code behind it. I led NeuralNet to connect draggable layers with inspectable Python, giving learners a starting point they can read, export, and develop further.
Read my case studyThe hardest part was making huge images feel immediate. I kept adjusting the GDAL tile pipeline and viewer until zooming requested only the image detail on screen.

For academic search, a useful answer needs a trail back to the source. I led a workflow that ranks papers by relevance, recency, and citations before the AI-assisted reading step.

I wanted the interface to feel playful without losing usability. The 3D scene, keyboard interaction, and device-aware rendering each had to earn their place.

I led the team in connecting the image upload experience to a Keras inference API. We treated it as a student prototype, with clinical validation still outside its scope.

The interesting problem was turning a visual graph into valid Keras code. The current demo explores that compiler flow; its training display uses simulated progress.
